Who is 100 White Flags?

The name 100 White Flags paints an image of surrender and humility.  It also paints a powerful picture of love and sacrifice.  Taking their name from a story that parallels the prodigal son story in Luke 15, 100 White Flags is coming in full force to share this message of hope and love.  Mixing blues and rock with a folky songwriting style, 100 White Flags has a great sound with strong lyrics. 

100 White Flags is Beth Dorsing (guitar, vocals), formerly Beth Gearhart, Girl With Guitar, Jeromy Dorsing (bass), Paul Tietjen (guitar, vocals), and Zac Harder (drums).  The band got its start when Beth, Zac, and Jeromy began playing together as a part of Beth’s solo career.  One day, Paul showed up with his guitar, they jammed, and the rest was history. 

100 White Flags debuted in July 2006 at Lifest Music Festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  They are currently playing locally in Minneapolis and surrounding areas.  100 White Flags also appears at several annual Youth Encounter events around the country.  The band is sporting 2 CDs entitled “Girl With Guitar” and “100 White Flags”, both of which were originally released as Beth’s solo projects.  While they play mostly songs from these 2 albums, the band hopes to be able to release their own full-length official album within the next year which will incorporate the talents of both Beth and Paul as songwriters.
