Biography
born in Temple, Texas to Victor & Joyce Jones. My pops was in the military for most of my life so, needless to say, I've seen a-lot more of the world than ur average lil po-boy from Texas, Id imagine. Some places I've been to outside of Texas; Anchorage Alaska, Ft Gordon GA, Europe, Sierra Vista AZ, and back to Augusta GA again. I was fortunate enough to be able to see Spain, Italy, France, England, and Berlin to name a few, as a young man, while in Europe with my parents. I graduated from Buena High School in Arizona, just before my pops retired from the military. Shouts out to Mrs Rhonda Westman! (my fav'rite choir teacher!!) After graduation, my folks decided they liked Augusta enough to retire and buy a home there, knowing this would be a golden opportunity for me to find myself a singing group to be a part of, since I'd been singing in various choirs since the 4th grade up until my high school graduation, in which I was a part of 2 different choirs simultaneously; a concert choir, and a "swing choir", where we sung and danced to oldies tunes and up-to-date ones as well. I became part of an R&B group within 2 months of moving to Augusta, We called ourselves M-Pulse. I became their 'bass' man. In our 'hey day', we made a-lot of accomplishments, which were publicized in one of the local Augusta papers. Some of our public performances include; mall talent shows, radio talent shows, a carnival talent show (in which we won 1st place), an Augusta May fest, a few basketball half-time shows, and the 1992 Augusta Black Expo. Shortly thereafter I joined the military (10/'93), and served about 5 years, having been to Korea and Ft Benning Ga on my own, it was definitely a growing-up-phase part of my life. After being honorably discharged from the Army, I worked a few odd jobs and security jobs in Columbus GA. I eventually moved to Augusta GA, ready for "a change" in 5/'99. I attended GA Military College in August of that same year (Crim.Justice/Gen. Studies major), and graduated 6/20/01. Then I earned my BS in Public Administration w/Criminal Justice emphasis from Brenau University in May of 2003. I was still keeping my dream alive on my own, searching for different producers in the hopes of creating a solid demo to shop. Then, through an Augusta GA based producer, hope became reality, and I completed an r&b album entitled "Playa" which received moderate U.S., but better overseas, success. Since then, i rededicated my life to the real 'super-producer' Jesus Christ & wrote 2 of the realest testimonials on wax!!, 'keep on singin' & 'Praisin him still' depict down to the very last word, my old AND new relationship w/God! In October of 2006 I made "The Move" to Atl' GA to seriously pursue my music career. While here in the dirty dirty, ive since touched bases w/an Augusta GA-based entertainment group by the name of Unique Image Ent.(otis bell), and, with them, participated in several club performances, as well as outdoor performances, (i.e. Gifford, S.C. June Fest & the James Brown Festival, Augusta GA '06, only months before his passing), in which we were a featured act. But, for now, the 'A" is where i lay my hat with the faith (not hope) that my musical aspirations will come to fruition! Ive recently been blessed with my first opportunity to sing back-up for, who i feel is, the next big up-and-coming gospel 'superstar' in Atlanta, a cat by the name of Terrell King, who im certain is destined for great things,as well as i (glory be 2God!). I'm very dedicated to whatever projects may come my way, and I feel my work ethic/ intense longing to understand the music business as a BUSINESS as well as entertainment, is what will make me a success in any business I choose to do.
