This past weekend I went to a conference which showed the true way to evangelize. Let me start off with saying that only 2% of Christians, sadly, share their faith regularly. That means, about 98% of us just sit home and hope for someone else to do it. I read a letter from an Atheist to a Christian the other day. The Atheist was saying how we are selfish stubborn people as Christians. If we so believe in the hell that we know of, why aren't we running the streets mad trying to save lost souls? It's the equivalent to seeing blind deaf people standing in the way of a bus, and just watching them fall to their horrible death. Overall, the main thing I learned, is to go for the person's consience, not the intellect. When Jesus was asked by the rich man how to get into heaven, He told him to sell everything that he had. Jesus aimed for where it hurts. So, this is what you do. You ask a person if they're good enough to get into heaven. Most people, of course, will say yes. You ask them if they have kept the 10 commandments. They say, most of them, or, I've never killed anyone. So you give them this simple test. Have you ever lied before? They say yes. In that case, that makes you a liar. Rev. 21:8 says that liars will go to hell. Have you ever stolen. [most people say yes] That makes you a thief. Have you used God's name in vein? Once again, yes. That's blasphemy. Have you ever looked at a woman with lust? The bible says that if you look upon a woman with lust, you have committed adultery with her in your heart. [being as the person most likely said yes to all of these] you then say. By your own admission, you are a lying, thieveing, blaspehmes, adulterer. Now, if God judges you by these standards, would u be innocent or guilty? This way, you don't go for the 'God loves you', nor the 'Your going to hell' approach. You simply show them that they are not 'good enough' for heaven at all. Once they realize this, you can then move in to showing how the love of Christ, AS WELL AS REPENTANCE, can make you as white as snow in God's eyes.

With the end of school being near, many students are looking for a type of celebration. So I encourage bands to try to get together, and form a concert that will keep kids away from parties, alcohol, or anything we know they shouldn't be involved with. It may not necesarilly be inside a church building, but wherever you play, be sure to let them know Jesus loves them, and that even Christians can party like rockstars without secular material.
