Biography

Jeremy Shorter has been performing songs he's written for twenty years in various ways, from a keyboard-based children's group with his sister, two of his cousins, and a microphone when he was but 17, to performing with the little-known NWAr band, 41st & Memorial (RIP).

His first album saw light in 2001: a collection of cassette-recorded songs with way too much background noise, done entirely with a cheap Casio keyboard, a clarinet, and multiple vocal parts sung into a $2 Radio Shack microphone, it was entitled Jesus Christ Super-Store.

In 2003 he wrote a group of new songs for an expirement which became his second full release: Distance & Thyme. On the extreme edge of eclectic, these thought-provoking songs were little more than a stepping stone to his third release.

His third album, released in April 2004, and sounding much like Distance & Thyme because of its entirely midi make-up, was called Recharged, and consisted of many older songs he'd written, along with a new group of songs. This album also includes the midi-goth-metal track, Alpha Wolf, and a Christmas/rock song he performed at his workplace called Firelight.

In late-2004 he joined up with Daniel Newman and Rodney Branham and they became the band 41st & Memorial...  They proceeded to make an album in early 2005 entitled YOU Are Here; a conglomeration of songs written by Daniel and Rodney, and one track by Jeremy Shorter. Jeremy also had the priviledge of singing lead on the updated sound of the classic "Amazing Grace."

In November of 2006, he released his newest, and penultimate album, Strong Christian Overtones. A blend of his classic midi sound with a live drummer (provided graciously by Casey Booth from ShineLikeStars), and Weeping Prophetic's very own Bryan Ellis and Dustin Roach on guitars, and a host of guests from Wave Train/Extra Virgin Rap Pro Todd Erickson, and some family and friends, this album stands to be the best yet by this up-and-coming artist.

"Ba-Ba-Da" and "Take My Breath Away" are on here as Mastered songs. Please listen to them, download them, post comments about them. I want to know your opinion.

The album is out.  Order it today.
