TAKEN EFFECT is a Christian pop/rock Duo based in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. The group consists of Melanie Konynenberg on vocals and Chris Feltmate on guitars. Their musical sound is appealing and their lyrics are passionate.

MELANIE has touring experience, as well as formal music training. The combination of the two has made Melanie into a diverse and well-rounded musician. Her many life experiences up until now have helped her to write powerful and meaningful songs. She loves the fact that music has the ability to touch and change peoples lives in such a powerful way.

 CHRIS began dabbling with keyboards and guitars in his school days. He was involved with the music program in junior and senior high school where his love for music helped him excel with learning his craft. He has had the opportunity to play with various Christian artists in Canada and the United States. He has the ability to hear music like no one else, which has turned him into an amazing instrumentalist, co-writer, and song collaborator. Chris gained sound and lighting experience while on the road with the band Morning Star
