Biography First and foremost, I am a follower of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Though many days I fail miserably, I strive to be like Him and live as He described we should in His word and blueprint for human life "The Holy Bible". I take this next quote from Timothy Gains (former Stryper bassist) because it explains exactly how I feel..thanks Tim ~ "Fame and fortune (I'll use Pride and temptations in this world) is really a hinderance to my relationship with my savior Jesus Christ. I am not a Bible thumper or Holy Roller. I am neither conservative nor liberal. I am still trying to find out what my calling is in this life. I sin daily and make mistakes, but I love God and I am thankful for his continuing grace on my life." I have been singing since I was about 7 years old, started playing guitar at 12, writing at about 14 and have picked up drums and keys along the way. I played in many bands since I was about 13 and played many clubs and events in the Los Angeles and Orange County, California areas . The best by far was in June of 1983 when my band mates and I from "Four on One" opened for "Berlin" (they sang "Take My Breath Away from the Movie "Top Gun" and Riding on the Metro" was a big radio hit as well...) at Rain Cross Square in Riverside, Ca which was their last show for their first world tour. Our drummer Diane Katz grew up with Dave Diamond, a founding member of Berlin. One day he called her and asked if our band would like to open for them...she replied "uhhh, wait...let us think about it"....come on, for sure we jumped on it. We had backstage passes, our own dressing room, signed autographs after the show...WOW, what a blast. We also won Battle of the Bands at Gazzarri's one night in Hollywood. It was a great time. My goal through music is to reach people who are hurting and searching for the truth in life by sharing the good news of Jesus, His death on the Cross and His healing power. Jesus can radically save lives from the doom, gloom, addictions and dispair of this world... especially the after life or the "here after" where you are either "with Him or without Him! He can transform the most down and out or discouraged life into a life full of hope, love and fulfill His promise of a better future and life forever with Him now and in heaven. For those of us who have placed our life, trust and hope in Jesus, we have been transformed into new life by His mercy and grace. This allows us to continue to change from the old into the new and live in the abundance of His love and the plan He has for each and "All" of us. * New Update: Just last week I met and played with a great guitarist. Afterwards, we agreed that we want to work together...Far-out! So, I would like to welcome Matt Houseman as lead guitarist and core member of this unit. I am most thankful for what he will bring and am very excited about working with him! Thanks for the site Christian Rocker! It is most excellent and I am glad to be part of it. Peace, love and good happiness stuff in Jesus, Kevin (a.k.a. Kid Maddox) from "Light in a Dark World"
