Biography

I was raise around music as my father played Steel and Hawaiian guitar. In his career he had the opportunity to play with some of Country music's greats, the likes of which included Tex Ritter and Ernest Tubs.
I received my first electric when I was 4 years old but didn’t really decided to be serious until I received my first official guitar lesson at the age of 13 from the Motor City Mad Man himself Ted Nugent and the then famed Al Nalli Music in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Living in Ann Arbor gave me the privilege of being introduced to many musically styles but in my heart music with High Energy and Life was always the most attractive to me. Then this band out of California changed everything. Van Halen hit the scene.
From there I went on to the shred scene and spent many a hour in practice. All to play faster and develop better a technique, but somehow the fun wasn’t in that.
After reviewing and thinking about the things that affected me about the music I loved I realized the the great players did "IT" in the context of a song. I started dissecting songs and learning the song writing process. It was from that process I have developed the skills that I have used to write, arrange, and recorded songs, commercials, and jingles. I have played with various Rock Bands and Worship teams. I have had the opportunity to follow and lead some great musicians the exprience of which has made me a better man and musician .
I continue to play with my local faith community’s worship team (The Rock Community). I also Play Lead Guitar in the Band REIGN RIVER DRIVE. Another aspect of music I have been active in from the beginning has been the recording process and live sound reinforcement in one way or another. This has lead me to the position as an instructor in recording engineering at the famed Recording Institute of Detroit.
While I believe that gives you the reader a good over view of my musical bio. Now it's time for the rest of the story.
