Soteria (coming from the Greek meaning Salvation) is a 5 peice Christian band from Dapto (80km south of Sydney), New South Wales, Australia. The bands purpose is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through music. The band plays at youth groups, church services and any other events that are aimed at seeing people brought to Christ. The band was formed in late 2003 as a 4 peice including vocals, guitar, bass and drums. After the release of Soteria's first CD in 2004 entitled 'Some Won't Listen', there has been two line up changes with a new drummer and additional guitarist. Soteria's second CD, 'Six or So Steps Behind', was released on the 7th July 2006. The band is currently demoing for a new EP.
